Midlanz Ribbons

A Ribbon Parade is open to any purebred Newfoundland. They do not need to be NZKC registered, and can be spayed or neutered. These rules allow the “pet owners” amongst us to compete with their dogs and win ribbons, and not be up against “show dogs”. There are breed classes, generally based on age, and stake classes, Best Rear, Best Coat etc, so everyone goes home with a ribbon!

The judges are NZKC judges, who are there to learn about our breed, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Usually refreshments at the end bring people together to mingle and socialise.
Again these events are fun for both handlers and
dogs.

Only NZKC Affiliated and Recognised Clubs are eligible to hold Ribbon parades. The Newfoundland Club Inc. Is such a club.
